About Liz

You do NOT have to overcome ADHD!

You just need self-awareness, and the right supports.

You may be wondering – Who is this chic?

I’m glad you asked. I’m Liz Lewis. My clients call me a coach, or maybe a facilitator. I love having conversations with other women.  But really I’ve always been a writer.

I’ve been researching and learning about ADHD for 5 years, and I’ve been showing other ADHD women how to apply that information in practical ways here on this site.

Right now I’m working on my first ever book about ADHD, women, motherhood, medicals models of mental health and the Venn diagram between all of that (and so much more).

In my “spare time” I run a private membership for women with brain-based challenges, and I show up once per year to speak at the Annual ADHD Conference.

You’d think with my online presence I’d be comfortable with visibility but I still prefer to be at home with my MacBook, my husband, my son, my plants, and one very needy dog.

I’m proof that you don’t have to “overcome” ADHD to have a great life.

I am very picky about how I spend my time. I like to say I’m the good kind of lazy.

I understand my brain, and I have the right supports in place. It took six+ years, some therapy, and some specific training, but over time I started to define myself less by my ADHD, and more by my self-knowledge.

This is not me overcoming. This is me becoming more self-aware.

Now I get to help other women do the same thing through my writing, coaching, and volunteer work.

I believe in transparency and accessibility of ADHD support.

Do I have a bunch of letters after my name? NOPE.

You’ll never hear me call myself an expert because it seems to me that as soon as someone names themselves as such, they stop being curious. I want to stay curious and continue learning.

I know a lot about ADHD because I’m constantly forming collaborations with experts in the field so I can learn more. If you have a question that I cannot answer, I’ll go ask someone who can.

I’m not into chasing social media followers or guerrilla marketing tactics. I have no desire to build an empire.

I know you’re working your a$$ off but you still feel like you are treading water.

Take a breath and relax, because I have a secret to share.

You don’t have to overcome ADHD. Or anything else.

You simply need to get curious about you.

That’s it.

You deserve the space to learn about how your brain works, and get the type of support that honors your unique situation, instead of making you feel like crap.

That’s why I took all those coaching classes.

And why I created a community of women who get you.

When I’m not working you can find me at home in central PA. Usually listening to podcasts, watching trash tv, or working out. Sometimes all at the same time.

Other nerdy facts:

  • If you’re having trouble finding me follow the trail of grapefruit seltzer cans
  • I prefer to eat out of a bowl
  • I dislike regular bras so I wear sports bras all the time
  • people notice my resting b-tch face, but I’m very friendly

Any other questions? Don’t hesitate to email me. My inbox is always open.
